Keep your eyes on ~Potassium~

Cuz I think it will be big!  Banana Vella just started designing…like a month ago.  I had been following her as she started working on a few clothing items on her blog.  She was making amazing stuff right out of the gate.  I was very impressed and so was not suprised to find out that she has opened a new store, called ~Potassium~.
You must stop in for a visit! The store, which has a barn theme, is adorable, and her designs are wonderful!  Great textures, very cute designs and amazing prices!  Everything in the store is 100L or under!

I am going to start with my most favoritest thing.  This top, which is in colors I adore, gives the most amazing cleavage!  I will be wearing this all summer!
Banana has lots of styles of jeans and the textures are just great, and all the jeans are only 100L!

Top:  Potassium Halter Pink to Yellow 50L
Jeans:  Potassium Jeans Patch Blue  100L
Necklace:  Dark Mouse Dead Fish Pendant Necklace Hunt Gift  Free
(Dark Mouse is having a hunt…7 items in the store are set for 0L)

The graduated colors Banana is using are right up my alley and are so pretty for summer!  Great highlighting on this belted Strapless Top.

Top:  Potassium Strapless Yellow/Pink  (I think these were 100L, but I can’t remember…it was 100 or under for sure though ;p)
Jeans:  Potassium Jeans Patch Blue  100L
Bracelet:  Dark Mouse Freebie Box Blue Silver Bangles 1L
Necklace:   Dark Mouse Freebie Box Pearl Drop Necklace

Banana has a bunch of these tops with funny SL sayings on them and they are only 20L each!  LOVE the ‘Freenis’ one!

A post by me would not be complete without a dollarbie, and the halter on the right is the Potassium Dollarbie.  You have to find it though…but Banana said I could tell you where it is.  ;p   Head up to the 3rd floor of the barn, and look on the back of the beams for the “buy” sign.

Isnt that mad – gone from not knowing a thing about designing in sl, to owning a store. I’m still cracking up about it!

Banana, I’d say you still don’t know a thing about designing in SL. Using full permission clothes off xstreet is not designing. Anyone with 2500L could do that.

I am not going to remove your comment, anonymous, because we are not that kind of blog.
However, I will say, if you want to pick on Banana about this, you need to pick on all the designers who are using the templates. Many big names are doing so, but it is what they do with the templates that make them unique.
I like what Banana is doing and I am sure many others will also.

❤ the colors on the tank.. definitely will be by to get one.

And don't let the haters stop you. Templates are the way to start for many designers (even experienced ones use them).

Absolutely true Gabby! I think it’s fine to recognize that some designers create things completely from scratch, and I suspect most content creators that stay in SL very long move towards that, because once you learn the mechanics of how it all works, it’s just not that hard to create your own material. But it’s not “wrong” to make use of legitimately purchased templates to help get a feel for how things work. Judge a creator’s work by what they add to the template, not by where they started.

I never claimed to make anything from scratch – and its all in my blog for anyone to see. I’ve not hidden anything, and Gabby has read my blog for a while now so knows exactly the progress I’ve made.

    Get educated luv. 🙂

May i add….i know how hard Banana is working these days and i know Potassium will be loved by many…it is not HOW you make clothes but its the imagination that counts. And Banana is improving so fast…you gotta love haters too, baby. they re just another sign of your success!
