Winter White
Heartsick sent out this pretty skin this morning, and it is available for free in the store here. It comes in two tones, this light one and a darker tanned tone. I really liked the light one and was trying on some of the stuff I picked up at the Dressing Room and ended up with another white/silvery post. Well…it is winter and snowing here, so this is kinda my mood.
The clothing is from a pack from R.icielli, at the Dressing Room, which includes tons of pieces for only 70L.

I give up
I wanted to try Hybie’s “80′s Icon Blogger Challenge”, and when I googled “80′s Icon” my eyes immediately landed on this image of Madonna, from her “Desperately Seeking Susan” days.
I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to recreate this look, and pretty much failed. Maybe I’m not any good at this, maybe I’m too hard on myself, or maybe I should have picked something easier. But anyway, I’m posting it, cuz I spent way too much time not to.
I spent about an hour fiddling with my shape, trying to get something similar to Madonna’s face and ended up with something so hideous that my own shape was a better match. That hair has Exile written all over it, and I think, by flipping the photo, I got a decent match. The Tuli skin isn’t a bad match either, although the lips should have been more matte. I couldn’t find a gold striped blouse or a black glitter jacket, to save my life, so you have to settle for texture loaded on a prim, and a jacket that in no way resembles the original.
It was still fun trying, and hey, I learned something. I learned I can’t make shapes for sh*t! Thank goodness there are talented people in SL who can!

This Took Forever
I struggled the entire weekend with this post, and considering the simplicity of the outfit, that is pretty damn sad. And as a bonus, you all get to see how I struggle with taking photos of pale lipped skins. \o/
To make up for that, I took a close up which I think came out okay.

~The hair, which I adore, is the new Dressing Room Blue offering from Exile. It comes in 4 shades and is only 60L. I am definitely going to the store to pick this hair up in some other shades. It has wonderfully wispy flexi pieces. LOVE it!
~The skin is the ICONICALLY Sexy Hunt gift from Tuli and the top is part of the G Field gift. It is actually a bathing suit.
~The flip flops are from Indi Designs for the Taste of SL. They are only 60L and are texture change to bunches of different colors. You need to head to the store to check them out, they are wonderfully textured! I believe this runs for a week.

Platinum Hunt
The Platinum Hunt starts today (though possibly not officially until noon) and there are quite a few of my favorite retailers participating. Prizes are $10L each and the hunt item is a good sized jewlery box with a pearl inside. None were very hard to find. I’m in love with this skin from dekade, the eyes from Glam Affair and this wonderful hair from Exile. The adorable jacket from Atomic has been all over the feeds, but deservedly so. I couldn’t locate quite a few of the prizes, and the hunter group was dead silent this morning, but that may improve this afternoon. ~You get two pairs of capri leggings in this gift from *TuttiFrutti* both of which are colorful and fun and wonderfully textured.
~I used a skin from [dekade.] which is only 70L for this week’s Dressing Room. The skin is quite pale and there is very little eye makeup so fitting lashes was a little bit of a challenge, but I think it is a very pretty pale skin. I love the lips.
~The hair is from Exile and is also from the Dressing Room. For 70L you get 4 duo tone shades. The blonde went very nicely with this skin.
~The tank is from the Armidi sale and if you get nothing else there, you NEED these tanks. They are 100L each at the Warehouse sale, but if you go to the website you can fatpack all the colors for only 625L. Which I did, of course.
~The shoes are new from Kalnins and are texture change to about a bazillion different color combinations.

My Farwell to Mischief
Perion did a fabulous job with her ode to Mischief post, but we got to talking about all the cute dresses that are available at Mischief, and thought we should cover that part of the sale too. I headed over and picked up a couple new dresses and was reminded all over again how much I like Janie’s designs. I don’t know how long the sale will go on, so if you haven’t hit it up, you really should soon!

~I think this cute little dress is my favorite of what I picked up. It is an adorable style and the texturing is really well done. This dress was only 90L. I put the tank, from the other dress I am showing, under it just for a fun little touch.
~This sweet skin went out to the [dekade.] subscribo group today. It is available in the subscribo history (option 1) but I don’t know how long it will be there.

~If you hit up the Mischief sale, and you should, be sure to keep in mind that most dress fatpacks are only 180L. This dress is available in one color for 90L but the fatpack is only 180L so why woudn’t you fatpack? Duh! 
The tank can be worn seperately, as shown above.
