Sway Advent Calendar
The bad news, is that if you didn’t already know about this, you’ve missed most of it. The good news is, that’s fewer boxes you’ll need to find. Today’s advent gift is this adorable stump, with built in poses. Go to the sim, and search for numbered boxes. You want the 22nd for this gift, but find the 23rd, ect, while you are there. Click on the boxes, and they will give you a notecard with a password. Go back to the tree, click the corresponding box, and type in the password on channel 01. The gifts flip over late afternoon SLT time, so the stump is only there for a few more hours.

Look of the Day
… or, excuse to show off my new bag! Rob1977 Moonites, my friend and the designer behind FIR & MNA, is already an outstanding sculptor and getting better all the time. This Curragh bag released today provides ample proof of that. It comes in a broad range of colors and patterns to suit every taste and I’m quite partial to this lovely shade of green.

The skin is a beautiful new release from Adam n Eve, (thanks sachi), called Liane. It has a soft, hand drawn feeling that complements a more whimsical look. The Firestorm lets me do shadows (albiet, low resolution ones) and I’m enjoying exploring what else it has to offer today.

Goodies
I wasn’t sure about this hair from Clawtooth for Fifty Linden Fridays, until I tried on the demo and fell in love. The jacket is a dollarbie to celebrate .izm’s first anniversary. Some of the prim pieces didn’t work very well for me, but the jacket was great with or without them. It’s mod, so I tinted the normally pink fringe for this outfit. While I was there I managed to spend more money on some other really cute, and very reasonably priced things.
The top is from the Lorelie lucky chair prize at ICING. It’s mixed in with other prizes, so you have to be extra patient, but it’s so worth it. As you can see, it’s a very versatile and well made gift. The skin is offered in a fat pack of tones and options to ::Exodi:: VIP members (wear your tag and click the sign in store). This is a paid group ($750L as of today), but the gifts have been frequent and awesome. The skin has been out for a week, so hurry.

This 50L Friday hair from Clawtooth was the inspiration for a colorful retro look. The clutch from Milk Motion, and the Thimbles dress and Split Pea headband (which was just made for this hair) are all part of today’s Fifty Linden Friday. The fun sunglasses are a gift from Glow Studio (part of a three pack), and the pearls are the Jewlery Fair gift from Dark Mouse. The shrug is an oldie from Project Kiwi, who announced their return this week (YAY!). Not a lot of new material yet, but I’m excited to have them back. The shoes are mine and will be gift for an upcoming Halloween event. More info to come.

Retro Look of the Day
I picked up this dress from Artilleri for 50L Friday and immediately thought of a Stumblebum special Clawtooth hair I snagged a while back. The scarf is texture change and went perfectly. The Tuli skin is on sale at the Dressing Room, and has been blogged by Renee but I really liked it with this look. The eyes were free a couple day ago, but are now gone. bah. There are a few other free pair available though.

I was on a break!
Yeah…I haven’t been posting much. It is summer…RL is busy…I am trying not to feel too much pressure about not blogging. I was trying on some stuff tonight from the Cupcakes group and fell in love with this skin and worked this outfit around it from some hunt and group gifts.

~The skin is one of, I think, 3 gifts in the Cupcakes group right now. There is also a skin from the Belle line which is very pretty but didn’t seem to work that well on my shape. This Fantasy skin though, I just adore the lips. The eye makeup might be a little bright for some people (haiii, P! <3 ) but I think it is fun for summer.
~The sweater and shoes are from the Addiction Hunt. There are some nice things in that hunt, which I will try to work into future posts. The shoes are from A-Bomb and are fantastically sculpted and textured. The sweater is from Hyper Culture and the gift also includes a skirt.
~The tank is from Izzie’s for the Fashion is Love hunt. It includes a black version and some cute leggings. It was only supposed to run through the 15th, but Izzie’s gift is still out. I would hurry though!
~The bracelet is a new freebie from Burroughs. It will only be out for a limited time, so you need to hurry on that too. The pearls are texture change.
~The hair is Clawtooth which is having a 50% off sale until the 25th. 5 color packs are only 137L.
