And we all know what that means! The best day of the week, 50L Friday! For me, this week, it was about vests and winter accessories and some fabulous jewelry by Miel.

~These vests are by Pig and I just love them. I got one in the Trapped in the 80’s Hunt but hadn’t been able to work it into a post. I love it, but it is bright blue and it just hadn’t worked with any of the outfits I was blogging. These two colors were easy though!
~The jewelry on the left is from Miel and it is wonderful. Beautifully textured chunky wooden pieces and leather cording. These will be so versatile!
~The scarf on the right is from artilleri and you get two colors. I am so in love with scarves lately so I was psyched to see this offering from artilleri.
On a side note, Perion is going to give all sorts of crap for my belly showing in that second pic. But I swear! I couldn’t find a shirt with an underwear layer that worked! *hides*

In these next looks, I have some 50L Friday stuff and then another look that is completely unrelated. I took the pics last night though, so I am working it in. Deal. ;p
~For 50L Friday, there is the hair from Lamb which is adorable. I would demo though, because this is a hair that will stick in your boobs if you have any. ;p I love this blue vest from Schadenfreude. It is wonderfully textured both front and back. The adorable earmuffs are by artilleri and you get a whole bunch of colors. So cute!
~The tartan tights are a free gift at S@BBiA that I picked up when I was getting the skirt in the next outfit.
~So, the red plaid skirt. I think this is darling. It is part of a group gift currently available at S@BBiA. I just love the lace underlay. You need to join the group and touch the sign in the store.
~I added a cardigan from [Miseria]. There is a current gift in the subscribo, which is this cardigan in a different color. I used the previous gift because it went better with the skirt. ;p But the current gift is also wonderful. This is a fantastic piece, no matter what color it is!
~The cute little hat hair is from Liriope and is a Gacha prize. The hat and the flower are both color change. It is only 30L to play and it comes in a bunch of different hair colors.

These fabulously textured sweaters are called Bell Flowers and come in a bunch of beautiful fall tones. The cool thing about these is you can wear them as top or as a sweater dress, and you can also wear the sweater with or without the prim. I also love the deep V, both in the front and the back, which makes these sweaters sexy as well. These can be worn in so many different ways, and for only 150L per color, I think they are an incredible bargain!
~The necklace and earrings I am wearing are only 1L at MeteoRain. Very pretty!

You know that moment when you see a notice from a great designer
… that says they made their own version of some wardrobe basic you wear all the time? That “OMGOMGOMGOMG” moment when the photo can’t rez fast enough, or the TP is so unbearably slow? Yeah, that. Today. And these Vintage Basics Sweaters from Ingenue did not disappoint. The texture on the cowl neck is perfection, the poofed upper sleeve and striped lower arm texture is fun and interesting. Naturally, it’s available on every layer. I also appreciated the finished edge on the cuffs, without a prim part, since I like the option of wearing jewelry with a bulky sweater. There’s also one freebie in the post… the pink boots are from the Midnight Mania Board at Magnifico. There are a different pair of black strappy boots in the MM at the moment, but totally worth the slap.
Photo taken at the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall. It’s Veteran’s day in the US, and this tribute is remarkably true to the experience of visiting the real thing in Washington D.C. (which I had the pleasure of doing once, many years ago). Happy Veteran’s day dad.

~From Sn@tch I got the cute little black jacket on the left. It came with pants, but I wanted to make a different outfit with it. I used the skirt only from the Moxie Polano 69L Humpday outfit, and then put the top only from a dress that is available at WhoKnows for the Cupcakes sim opening. Is that confusing enough? 
~The leggings are one of the Concrete Flowers weekly dollarbies and you get about 10 colors.
~The hair is the November Group Gift from Ay.LinE and comes in a bunch of colors also.
~The jewelry is a new group gift from alaMood. There is a 250L join fee, but there have been LOTS of gifts!
~On the right is the 69L Humpday special from WOE. I have loved these Waist Cinchers with tanks for a long time. I think the texturing is great. I will say…Dick put the vendor in a hard to find place. It is on a pole, fairly high up, towards the middle of the store. Dick…this isn’t a hunt! You want us to find the sale item! Put a big sign or an arrow or something! I had about given up, thinking that there was nothing out when it finally rezzed.
~The belt is the prize from Kosh for the Invite Only hunt and is really nice, and is unisex!

~I love this belt…it is from the 80’s Hunt from Taboo and I have been wanting to use it in a post since I did the hunt. It is a tiny little turntable. The details are incredible if you cam in. I tried to show you in a close up but you have to see it in world to really appreciate it.
~The jacket is a gift in the What’s New SL group in world from E’Dior. The texturing on the jacket is really nice. The prim parts aren’t the best I have seen, but overall, this is a nice piece.
~The pants are a dollarbie at mijn.t, and there are 2 other dollarbies available, a top and a pair of sunglasses. I have been all about short pants, scarves and leggings lately.

Opposite Ends of the Spectrum
The new Sweetheart Floral shirts from Doppelganger, Inc. are everything I’m not, as in… they’re well put together, feminine and very pretty… but I can’t help it, I love them!
I threw a couple of ensembles together using them and was pretty surprised how vastly the looks differ from each other.

Have you ever
started to dress your avatar, basing your outfit on a central piece (let’s say, um, overalls) and you can’t quite get it just right and so you change your shirt, shoes, accessories, hair, skin, eyes, AO, everything… cuz, something is a bit off and you can’t quite place your finger on it… and then, you finally get your look to a point you think looks pretty damn snazzy and then you walk around like that with every intent of blogging it but then you’re slammed with IMs when you’re trying to take pictures and then there’s a hair sale that you can’t miss and of course, you have to go to the skin fair on opening day and so you give up on that entirely until another time and when, finally, it’s three days later, you have some time to put it all together and then, you realize you’re just SICK of looking at yourself?
This is one of those times.

MichaMi and Tuli Bella Gift Skin
I saw on the feed this morning that MichaMi is offering 50% off on three outfits in her main store, I believe for this weekend only. I ran down and picked up the Pippa outfit. As I was shopping, the Tuli update group chat opened up and I could see people were freaking out and fretting about a new skin. I knew Bella had just been released so I ran to Tuli next to see if there was a group gift and there was! YAY!

~I tend to look for outfits that will have parts I can use for mix & match and this Pippa outfit from MichaMi is just perfect for that. There are a bazillion ways to wear this. It comes with capri length pants as well as full length pants, which can be worn belted or not, 2 sweaters and a shrug. And all the layers can be worn separately or together. I LOVE when designers go to the trouble of putting things on all layers like this…and I appreciate how much work it is for them. Think of the ways you can use this and for this weekend this outfit is only 100L!!
~I thought that this outfit, and the skin had a bit of a retro feel so I added a hair from the Truth Retirement Sale called Antonia, which has a color change band. I thought it was very cute with this outfit.
~The earrings are Vintage Screwbacks from the Dark Mouse Picks Reward. Add Dark Mouse to your picks and there are 7 different gifts you can collect from the Picks Reward sign!
~The fabulous scarf is by Sysy and is only available at the Merry Christmas location of her store. There are lots of colors to choose from. Love these!! Thank you, Sysy!
